Electrical Designer
Job Description Kelly Services is recruiting an Electrical Designer for a major client in the Michigan City, Indiana area.
Position
Summary:
The Designer for the Electrical Team will focus on rapid engineering and design for all new programs that require electrical development.
This position will be directly responsible for the output deliverables for the New Product Development Electrical Team such as designs, bills of material, and CAD drawings.
Exercises an intermediate level of judgment with little or no direction from management.
Position
Responsibilities:
Design and create parts and assemblies in Siemens NX CAD systemPrepare Engineering Change Orders (ECO-s) to document new parts, assemblies, BOM-s and drawing changesProvide management and project sponsors with appropriate, timely and accurate updates of project statusDevelop and revise engineering drawings, BOM-s and specificationsComplete Statements of Work Create Bill of Material for JDEAssist in training and mentoring of less experienced team membersParticipate in departmental or cross-functional teams toward the achievement of corporate strategic goalsPerform other related duties as assigned Requirements Position Requirements:
Minimum Associates Degree in Engineering/Design related field (Mechanical or Electrical) or 2-4 years of experience in design of powered (with engine/motor) rotary equipment with fluent use of UG NX or equivalent 3D modeling CAD systemExperience with basic flow diagrams and wiring diagramsKnowledge and use of Teamcenter a plusGood oral and written communication skillsMust have exceptional team skills with ability to communicate up as well as across the organizationFully developed professional able to work with minimal direct guidance or direction from others.
