Scope Of Work:
The Operations Manager will ensure that all operating departments reach production goals within budget and with the highest level of quality and customer service.
The Operations Manager will deliver goals that support strategic corporate objectives. This position is ultimately responsible for the on-time production, installation, removal and profitability of client work orders through the management of our warehouse, inventory, shipping & receiving, field operations, production, and maintenance teams. The Operations Manager must be able to direct activities, schedule jobs, and organize the workflow in a lean and flexible manner to meet both financial goals and quality standards.
Immediate goals are to: meet production deadlines; maintain high quality and service levels while managing profitable growth; develop policies and practices and ensure continuous improvement in all areas and to provide immediate leadership for department managers, supervisors and crew.
General
Responsibilities:
Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of company facilities, equipment and asset.
Develop and implement accurate Operating Budgets for all operations departments in coordination with the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Meets operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Provide leadership in the financial performance of the operation.
Achieves operational objectives by contributing operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.
Develops operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
Develops facility design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
Develops operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout and implements changes.
Develop and implement an operational workflow that clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of its management, supervisory and crew labor.
Develop, implement and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the execution of operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and inventory accuracy, and driving active safety programs.
Candidate must be able to develop work plans to ensure appropriate staffing (allocation of labor force) levels while managing overtime in a way that takes into consideration P&L, work-life balance, and the need to always meet the expectations of the customer.
Organize/ hold / attend daily operations meetings -- essentially daily shift start meeting including the use of the communication board for special assignments etc.
Develop, implement and direct programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property. Ensure a culture of safety throughout the organization by following safety policies and procedures - monitor safety, physical security and operational metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Accomplishes operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Plan long-range labor needs based on customer sales forecasts and input from Management.
Identify, assess and pursue continuous improvement opportunities and make recommendations to senior management on programs that improve operations.
Inventory control / management - Ensure current and accurate inventory control for each area in the warehouse, direct the inventory lead person and contribute to the development and implementation and direction of programs to ensure inventory and asset security.
Work with Production & Fabrication department managers to develop smooth flow of finished goods into the warehouse for both shipping and storage - identify issues, report them and suggest improvements.
Manage a staff of managers, supervisors and labor crew in a 24/7 environment, able to work a flexible schedule and ability to be on call at various times. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Recommend capital expenditures to ensure efficient ongoing operations.
Ensure 100% compliance with all government regulations and company policies.
Report operational issues and IT issues.
Manage staff, set expectations and objectives for individuals to ensure accountability and an environment open for new ideas and creative improvement process.

Qualifications and
Experience:
Three - Five years of management experience, managing productivity and labor planning in a high volume, fast paced, distribution environment -- Special Event Background is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in business discipline or logistics preferred.
Strong operational background with a track record of continuous improvement
Excellent leadership skills, having the ability to direct a group and to engage together in the process of developing, sharing and moving towards the company's strategic vision
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; demonstrating a commitment to teamwork
Must be hardworking and self-motivated.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
