Physician (Infectious Disease)

Duties:
This position is located in Medical Service.
The Medical Service is composed of the following sections:
Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Hematology, Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Special Exams, Critical Care, and Hospitalist Medicine.
The incumbent is directly accountable to the Chief of Medicine.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations.
Oversee the Infection Control program, antibiotic usage program, and treatment and care for HIV patients.
May also be assigned to perform other clinical duties as assigned within the service.
Adherence to established Medical Center policies and procedures as well as VA Directives.
Demonstrates leadership and accomplishment when providing support to the Chief of Medicine, Medical Service, and Medical Subspecialty Staff and provides assistance to representatives to various department/services within the VA organization.
Implements and complies with administrative review of the service's operations to assure compliance with all internal and external review requirements.
Clinical management of patients may include skills necessary for the stabilization of acute complications and may include the initiation of basic life support.
Patient education is primarily provided in an interactive setting which requires good interpersonal skills.
Shall be accountable for all clinical duties and assignments that the Chief of Medicine deems necessary.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
