Job Description:
ProCaps Laboratories is seeking intelligent, self-motivated, team players, to fill Researcher positions. These positions will be primarily responsible for scientifically evaluating new ingredients and products as well as creating and managing documentation that support technical product claims for all products. Additionally, this position will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on various aspects of the competitive market. This is a key role in support of a major growth initiative for a company focused on healthy living.
Job
Responsibilities:
o Support new product development in all product categories with scientific due diligence, including reviewing efficacy and safety studies, technical reports and related literature.
o Create technical white papers reviewing the scientific evidence supporting technical product claims, including efficacy/health benefits and safety, for new and existing ingredients and products.
o Monitor and report on industry trends and competitor content (i.e. new ingredients, new product trends, competitor product lines, marketing tactics, newsletter, magazines, websites, social media, etc.).
o Manage the process and system for claims substantiation.
o For existing products, ensure claims substantiation documents are complete, updated regularly, and reflect claims found on packaging and marketing materials.
o Interact within Product Development, as well as with Regulatory, Marketing and Content teams to help develop new products and implement new or revised product claims and labeling.
Job
Qualifications:
o College degree required in a life sciences field, preferably nutrition, biochemistry, biology, or closely related field.
o 3-5 years relevant industry experience preferred.
o Demonstrated ability to search scientific literature and objectively evaluate research.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to vary communication style for different audiences such as consumers, retail customers, healthcare professionals, etc.
o Demonstrated skills and comfort in simplifying complex topics for many types of audiences, and efficient project management.
o Outstanding organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Ability to work independently and as a member of cross-functional teams.
o Acute attention to detail and high professional standards.
o Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
o Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to tackle changing priorities and multiple deadlines with enthusiasm and skills.
o Awareness of FDA and FTC laws and regulations.
o Demonstrated excellent technical writing ability (English).
o Knowledgeable in nutrition, dietary supplement and natural products research. Must be interested and willing to acquire knowledge in personal care products and dermatology.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
