Must be comfortable running a group of 5-10 guys
Someone who started as a network engineer
Our client is in the process of building 2 data centers
projects will be completed by the time this person is onboarded

POSITION Overview:
Our client, a publisher of legal, regulatory, and business information, seeks a Senior Network and Security Engineer to coordinate the technical aspects of IT?s mission to provide system integration and infrastructure innovation, architecture, design, engineering, configuration, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of network and security related systems running on multiple technology platforms; coordinate and maintain environment changes to workflows, and systems; work to ensure that the availability of the supported environments meet or exceed requirements and service level agreements.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a senior network and security engineer within IT Operations; plan and organize technical aspects of IT Operations? deployments and support activities working closely with business units, development and security teams to determine and meet needs; gather pertinent information, system requirements, and workflow to architect, engineer, and deploy optimal solutions; responsible for the complete IT networking, security, systems, technologies, processes and organizations; learn, test, and evaluate new technologies to determine what technological advancements are viable to our client; deliver exemplary support to the organization; exceed customer expectations and deliver measurable results; produce the necessary documentation for tasked projects; drive continuous improvement of our client IT operations.
Collaborate with technical persons in other departments who are assigned to projects; prepare status reports on network/security events and projects; adhere to system configuration and documentation standards to ensure that all design and integration activities and related efforts adhere to audit and compliance and security control requirements; continuously automate, simplify, and streamline processes; deliver exemplary performance and customer service; maintain thorough knowledge of, workflows, and network /security systems in assigned areas of responsibility; maintain knowledge of developments and techniques in the field of project management, emerging technologies in network and security environment; participate in special projects; and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

years of IT experience, with a strong background in the following hardware and skill sets; Cisco, NX OS, Bradford, FireEye, F5, LTM, GTM, routing, switching, and firewalls, Palo Alto Networks, Splunk Enterprise; including security analysis, network design and engineering; creative solution design, implementation, maintenance, and support in a fast paced environment; deliver exemplary customer support to a diverse customer base; ability to solve complex analysis problems with emphasis on diagnostic capabilities to quickly determine root cause; ability to troubleshoot problems in a multi-vendor environment; strong analytical and logic skills; ability to multitask and work independently and on a team with shifting priorities and deadlines; and excellent verbal and written communication skills. College degree, or 8
years of IT responsibility. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
