Our client is a design and fabricating company with a history of providing quality engineered products to a variety of pipeline, processing, refining, chemical, power, nuclear, aerospace and defense industries.
They are looking to hire a Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment, for their Paola, KS facility.
Main Job Duties / Responsibilities
Perform major overhauls, assembly, repairs, and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery and equipment.
Design and build various accessories required for plant machinery and equipment.
Test operate repaired equipment for proper functionality.
Set new equipment and/or move equipment and reset as required.
Report abnormal conditions of equipment to Facilities Engineer or Foreman.
Work in a safe and secure manner and comply with the safety rules and procedures.
Perform minor welding on non-production items.
Write purchase requisitions, as required.
Operate jib cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment (except heavy cranes) for the moving of material, components, and equipment from location to location within the plant.
Occasionally operate overhead cranes and towmotors in support of small moves to continue production within the department.
Perform general laborer duties as required (i.e. grinding, loading and unloading of trucks and railcars, bricking furnace).
Keep working area clean and perform housekeeping duties around the plant as required (i.e. pickup tools, roll-up hoses and cables, sweep).

Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
o Requires working knowledge of machinery and equipment within the facility.
o Requires familiarity with tools and equipment used in the repair of machines and equipment.
o Capable of reading and understanding basic machine and equipment drawings and specifications.
o Capable of performing math computations involving decimals and fractions.
o Capable of lifting 50 lbs. up to waist.
o Requires 36 months minimum of job-related work experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
