Product Specialist/Chemicals
Under direct supervision, shall be responsible for generating inside telephone sales and establishing chemical customer accounts.
Providing prompt, efficient and friendly service to potential and current customers is of primary importance.
Support shall be provided as needed to all aspects of the chemical division.
Establishes new accounts in relation to department goals.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Learns and presents technical knowledge on company's product line (chemicals and other products).
Contacts potential customers by telephone or by written correspondence to explain the chemical product line with intent to establish a long-term customer account.
Follows-up on potential customers to close and finalize the sale.
Establishes new accounts in relation to goals.
Meets individual and departmental sales quotas.
Contacts regulatory officials to verify and develop market in any given area.
Follows-up on current chemical customer accounts, takes chemical orders, determines most economical shipment method, and provides any customer service needed Independently develops potential sales leads from all available resources.
Acts as presenter during factory training schools.
Assists with and handles projects issued by the Sales Manager and Vice President of the Chemical Division.
Prepare weekly call reports showing calls and sales for the week.
Maintains and updates customer account files and customer lists.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
