Location: Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC) - Portsmouth, Virginia
Principle duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Qualifications:
o MD with Masters of Public Health Degree or related degree
o Board Certified in any of the relevant areas to this task including Epidemiology, Medical and Disease Surveillance, Preventive Medicine, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health and Occupational and Environmental Medicine
o Experience with medical coding, MHS systems: AHLTA, Essentris, CHCS, etc.
o Broad experience in healthcare policy, program design, strategic communication, and comprehensive delivery of population-based health services for a variety of communities.
o Current on clinical practice with the ability to provide clarity for any ambiguity around clinical encounters preferred
o Significant experience in executive leadership and management of civilian, government, and military health systems in community and academic settings preferred
o Demonstrate competence in oral and written communication
o Must be organized, attentive to detail, and posses a positive, friendly and professional demeanor
o Ability to be flexible with changing priorities and available to interact with employees, clients and sponsors of all levels
o Ability to exercise independent judgment in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines and to manage multiple projects
o Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
o Computer skills including at least intermediate level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office Software
Responsibilities:
o Physicians will not be responsible for seeing patients
o Physicians will serve as the Clinical Liaison responsible for outreach to clinical staff for implementation, management, and evaluation of standards and procedures set out by NMCPHC
o Physicians as Clinical Liaison will provide clinical oversight and consult the clinical staff the impact of procedure changes.
o Provide advice to staff in execution of government leadership guidance.
o Maintains and promotes Geneva's core values of Integrity, Superior Service to Customers, Quality, Teamwork, Innovation, and Respect for All
o Possesses a working knowledge of The Geneva Foundation's Employee Handbook, User's Guide and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as applicable
o Remains accessible and accountable at all times during work hours and collects messages at least twice daily
o Returns telephone messages within 24 hours of receipt; return email messages in a timely manner as appropriate
o Complies with the dress code of The Geneva Foundation and assigned duty station
o Promotes positive, professional relationships with co-workers and The Geneva FoundationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
