The AVP will be responsible for planning, directing and maintaining the organization's claims process from the inception to resolution and closure, including delivering exceptional customer service to our clients in partnership with our client services team.
Essential Functions:

Establishes Best Practices and ensures compliance with Statutory Requirements ?
Staffing/Caseloads ?
In partnership with the Unit Managers, staffing and recruitment of claims staff ?
External Audits Preparation & Response ?
Client Relations, Continuous Improvement and Client Trainings ?
CMR and Diary Compliance and Excess Reporting Compliance ?
Technical Growth/Training:
Ensures compliance with all appropriate regulations for each state handled out of the assigned branch. A focus on facilitating training that will ensure that the branch office is generating a quality work product, meeting the standards of the regulatory agencies and exceeding the expectations of our clients. ?
Ensures that all Claims Examiners meet licensing requirements and continuing education hours as required in the state(s) claims are being handled ?
Business Development:
supporting the Sales and Marketing Teams in the development of new business. ?
Supervisor Reviews ?
Closing Ratio/Inventory Reduction ?
Significant Claims Activities ?
Employee Recognition ?
Some travel is required.
Core Competencies/
Qualifications:

Strong Leadership skills; ability to effectively guide, coach and mentor staff ?
Consistent review and evaluation of branch performance including:
the financial and expense management, quality assurance, customer service and innovation. ?
Excellent time and organizational management skills ?
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills ?
In-depth knowledge of the California Labor Code, practices & procedures and current case law
Technical and logical claims process knowledge and application.
Knowledge/Requirements:

3-5 years in a recent Workers Compensation role ?
Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role ?
SIP CertifiedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
