PATIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE- SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, FULL TIME

POSITION SUMMARY
Reviews and follows up on claims. Reviews and bills patient accounts. Has the responsibility of overseeing and supervising multiple A/R's. Assists in the training and supervision of staff

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education:
High school diploma or the equivalent.
ICD9/CPT coding class preferred

Minimum
Experience:
Recent Medical Office, Healthcare Insurance or Medical Billing experience
Minimum two years Insurance Billing experience preferred
Typing and computer literacy
Reading and writing skills, organizing and filing, professional phone etiquette

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate skill in the use and support of a variety of software applications commonly used in a health care organization.
Sufficient computer skills as are required to complete an online application and pre-employment/annual online learning requirements.
In compliance with patient safety standards, must be able to effectively communicate in English. Bi-lingual abilities preferred.

Certifications/Licensure:
Possession of a valid driver's license in the employee's state of residence.

Physical Demands:
Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing, walking and sitting.
Exposure to stressful environments that may include communicating with difficult individuals in emotional situations.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
