Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, CSRs act as a liaison between customers and Links Logistics. Assist with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancelations, and other queries. Route orders in compliance with the retailers' routing guide; meeting requested ship dates selecting and employing a carrier (transportation). You'll work online in our customers' preferred transportation management systems to route orders and troubleshoot any loads that may be at risk of missing the requested arrival date.
The CSR works directly with shipping, receiving, trucking, and customers scheduling shipments to get the customer what they need when they need it in a very fast paced environment. If you're passionate about serving the retail channel of product distribution, put yourself in this job.
THE JOB:
First and foremost: Serve The Customer (effective and timely response to inquiries, processing orders and handling customer concerns)
Prepare Loads for departure - (Verify order, Run BOL's, labels, Placards, etc.) assuring new orders comply with shipping and labeling requirements
Schedule appointments with transportation (various carriers), identifying and troubleshooting transportation issues
Process orders and transactions for receiving, warehousing and shipping of product in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain and update shipment data in the computer system to assure accuracy on pricing, freight cost, invoicing, etc.
Replenish product stock to meet customer orders and maintain adequate warehouse inventory levels
Inventory Accuracy - process inbound receipts, inventory adjustments and shipment. Research inventory discrepancies and errors.
Provide assistance in the warehouse when required giving direction on special projects and work orders.
Manage the day-to-day customer order fulfillment through the generation and utilization of reporting tools, communicate product availability issues and recovery to customer service team as well as the customer
Lead cross-functional communication (e-mails, phone calls, and face to face) with carriers, logistics, transportation, and customers on product availability, product introduction, discontinued products, allocation, extended lead times, to ensure alignment and support order execution. Monitor and report customer product availability.
Act as the customers single point of contact and company gatekeeper
YOU:
Retail Warehouse know-how from order fulfillment through routing to shipping - preferably for a Bog Box retailer
WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience
Solid office skills: computer for document creation and system data entry, printer operations, answer phones, upbeat phone presence, organized with paperwork and files maintenance
World class customer service mindset in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Great typing/data entry skills
Details, details, details. Get it right the first time on invoices, receipts, schedules and deadlines
Sense of urgency for the customer
Excellent math skills
Strong, positive communication skills to effectively present information and instructions to customers, drivers and other employees
Must be able to converse and write fluently in English, additional language is a benefit but not a pre-requisite.
GED minimum, associates degree or higher would be an advantage.
