Senior Staff Software Engineers
SanDisk Corporation needs Senior Staff Software Engineers in Milpitas, California to define, design and develop mobile applications for Android devices. Define, design and develop embedded SW for SanDisk connect products. Create Architecture and Design documents. Implement the application using the Android SDK and framework. Work with the UAT team to resolve problems during integration and validation. Support issues arise from the field.
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a Software Engineer-related occupation. Experience must include:
1. At least 5 years of software development experience in delivering throughout entire life cycle including concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support;
2. At least 5 years of experience in programming languages such as Java, C;
3. At least 5 years of experience in embedded system development using microprocessors and microcontrollers, firmware development and embedded system debugging using tools including GDB, JTAG and ICE;
4. At least 5 years of development experience in Linux and Windows environment, with Unix commands, with IDE such as eclipse;
5. At least 4 years of software design experience with various UML diagrams and UML development tools including Visual Paradigm, and StarUML;
6. At least 3 years of hands on experience with android application design, development, troubleshoot and deployment including Google android tools, development of android SDK, various analytics tools, and profiling tools;
7. At least 3 years of experience with networking protocol layer and protocols including TCP, UDP, ICMP, IP, MAC and protocol analysis tools including Tcpdump and Wireshark;
8. At least 1 year of hands on experience with Android framework, middleware, JNI and kernel;
9. At least 2 years of experience in kernel poring, interfacing with new hardware, device drivers, ARM architecture and assembly of ARM;
10. At least 1 year of development experience in TCP/IP networking stack and Wi-Fi stack;
11. At least 2 years of experience in database technologies such as SQL, and SQLite; and
12. At least 2 years of experience in REST, JSON, XML, HTML5 and Javascript.
