SUMMARY
Installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to desktop computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical advice and support to system users.

TASKS
- Performs technology refresh and deployments.
- Installs all peripheral components such as printers, scanners phones and disk drives.
- Loads appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
- Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet user requirements.
- Provides telephone, in-person and remote support to end-users.
- Coordinates activities with network services and information systems groups.
- Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
- Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
- Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
- Monitors ticketing system and completes tickets in a timely manner.
- Travels between local sites to perform assigned duties.
- Must be able to lift 50
pounds.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5
years' experience in mid to large user support and tech operations roles.
- Strong communications and people skills (this is a customer facing position).
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Self-motivated, get the job done attitude.
EDUCATION
AA Degree, Computer Information Systems or equivalent education or certifications (A+, MCSE, etc).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
