In-Home Behavioral Therapist

Location: Long Branch, New Jersey
Position Description:
To assist service recipients attain the goals of the individual care plan and sustain positive behavioral changes and improvement in functionality and quality of life.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Demonstrates support of all outcomes for service recipients supported. (Identity, Autonomy, Affiliation, Attainment, Safeguards, Rights, and Health and Wellness.)
o For Professional/Clinical level: In accordance with applicable Individual Care Plans, any Behavior Assistance/Intensive In-Community evaluations, and other reports, provide interventions including, but not limited to:
a. Clinical consultation/assessment
b. Counseling
c. Group, individual, or family therapy
d. Anger management
e. Parenting skill development
f. Problem solving and skill development
g. Stress reduction techniques
h. Symptom reduction
i. Adaptive and coping skills; and
j. Psycho-educational instruction related to mental health, including but not limited to, improved decision-making to manage behavior and reduce risk behaviors
o For Supportive level: In accordance with applicable Individual Care Plans, any Behavior Assistance/Intensive In-Community evaluations, and other reports, provide interventions including, but not limited to:
a. Instruction in anger management skills
b. Parenting skill development
c. Instruction in stress reduction techniques
d. Problem solving skill development
e. Psycho-educational services related to mental health including, but not limited to, improved decision making skills to manage behavior and reduce risk behaviors; or improved decision making skills to manage behavior and reduce risk behaviors
f. Referral to other necessary services and supports
o Any direct care provider may not provide interventions requiring skills, experience, credentials and licensure other than those allowed under the appropriate licensing regulations.
o Maintain flexibility in clinical modalities and apply according to client's needs and abilities. Use of play, art, music techniques can be provided if indicated.
o Listen to and respond to the needs of service recipients, parents/guardians, area program staff, and agency management.
o Document all activities in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
o Transport service recipients as needed and clinically indicated.
o Complete all mandated supervision and training and maintain as required.
o Communicate in a professional manner with service recipients, employers, parents/guardians, area program staff, and agency staff.
o Advocate for service recipients in all situations.
o Abide by all agency policies and procedures.
o Perform job duties in accordance with agency mission and values.
o Other duties as assigned.
o Ability to work as a member of a team, to complete tasks as instructed, be receptive to new ideas, and be creative in solving problems.
o Ability to also work autonomously, setting goals for work tasks and using strategies to effectively meet goals.
o Ability to demonstrate a commitment to growth and improvement.

We are currently looking for Per Diem employees.
Week Day Shifts Available (Mon-Fri): Evenings

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
