This manufacturer is looking for a skilled Process Engineering Manager to oversee facilities operations and batch processing functions in its New Albany location. The Manager will utilize proven knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and process equipment to drive safe and efficient operations, training staff in the appropriate procedures and optimizing processes for cost effectiveness. Successful candidates for this role will be skilled and capable managers, able to manage projects from start to finish and guide teams through collaborative leadership.
Responsibilities:
Direct process batch area and maintenance activities for plant, property, and equipment systems
Review production schedule for capacity requirements and daily production needs
Monitor raw component melting needed for production batches RE: HVO, micro, flakes, and components needing oven work
Prepare request for quotations (RFQ's), bid sheets, and contracts for equipment and facility upgrades
Define and optimize equipment set-up, run, and maintenance procedure; identify cost saving opportunities
Interview and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; set priorities, create and update task lists, motivate and appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
Oversee and enforce standard operating procedures to maintain quality and accuracy
Requirements:
BS degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, electrical, mechanical, automated process equipment, engineering, and maintenance principles
Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, develop solutions and lead implementation
Excellent leadership, project management, organizational, and time management skills
Demonstrated successful performance with independent and team problem solving, presentations, leadership, and coordinating and completing multiple tasks within and across departments to meet changing deadlines. Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and technical presentations.
Demonstrated PC skills to include at a minimum Microsoft Office; experience with Preventative Maintenance, CAD, and Project Management Software preferred
PE preferred but not requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
