Quality Engineer

An excellent opportunity is available for a Quality Engineer for a leader in the manufacturing world located in the Texarkana, Arkansas area.
Job Description:
The quality engineer will work as a member of the facility's quality team with specific responsibility to ensure that product quality exceeds the customer's expectations. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the development, application, and continual improvement of quality standards for raw material, finished goods, and/or production processes. The individual will assist in the monitoring and review of methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant materials and devise methods to assess costs and responsibility. Development and implementation of procedures, work instructions, training programs, systems, and processes that will ensure delivery of a product that meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.
Essential Duties:
o Monitor, analyze, and work with operations to correct First Time Quality and Scrap Issues
o Work with Supply Base to resolve issues, and improve incoming component quality
o Develop/audit documents relating to ISO-9000 procedures and process
o Work with Product Engineering and Operations to implement continual improvement
Skills and Capabilities:
I. General
o Analytically oriented
o Strong oral and written communications skills
o Strong organizational abilities
o Effective time management
o PC Skills (MS Office, Microsoft Project, Lotus Notes)
II. Technical
o Read and understand blue prints
o Knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerances
o 8D, as well as other problem solving and root cause analysis techniques
o 6 Sigma Green Belt Preferred
o Knowledgeable in ISO 9000 processes, including PPAP Processes
o Ability to apply project management concepts
o Advance knowledge of statistics and SPC, as well as the ability to apply them in analyzing and eliminating quality problems
III. Safety
o Ability to identify safety hazards in the work place, utilizing safety observation program techniques
o Basic understanding of ergonomics
IV. Lean Concepts
o Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
o Understanding of 5S and ability to apply to working situations
o Understand the 7 wastes and ability to analyze the operation and eliminate wastes.
o Ability to develop and implement Poka-Yoke systems and fixturing
o Participate in Kaizen events
Qualifications:
Education:
o Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant discipline
o Possession of recognized qualification in quality engineering, audit processes and relevant certifications (e.g. Six Sigma) is of a clear advantage
Experience:
o Minimum 3 years of experience working in quality for a high volume manufacturing operation

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
