Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
The RET Technician is responsible to perform labor and helper functions as directed for all services provided by the Company within petrochemical plants, including providing ground support during catalyst handling procedures, assisting in the operation of equipment or power tools as directed and in accordance with established company and customer plant safety rules and the required regional legislation, and assisting in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job, informing supervision of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries or lost productivity.
Responsibilities:
oEnsure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. oPerform labor and helper functions as directed for all services provided by the Company. oPromote the company's business by conducting work assignments with a positive attitude and professional safe manner oProvide ground support during catalyst handling procedures. oClean up work area and equipment after work is completed. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean work place, change room, locker area and customer's plant oDevelop a basic working knowledge of all equipment that is utilized in performing assigned duties. oAssist in the operation of equipment or power tools as directed and in accordance with established company, customer's plant safety rules and the required regional legislation. oAssist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries or lost productivity. oPromote safety through own actions and work habits. Reports all accidents and near misses, involving self, company vehicles or other job personnel to supervisor immediately. oPerforms Hazard Recognition Awareness to remove or notify Supervisor to remove all hazards form the workplace. oComply with all applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the company, customer and pertinent government legislation. oDevelop a basic working knowledge of all equipment that is utilized in performing assigned duties. oPerform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:
o High school diploma or equivalent required. o 1
years of related work experience. o Complete ten (10) hours of supervised breathing air training with Cat Tech breathing equipment prior to making confined space entry on customer site. o Ability to follow written and verbal directions. o Basic Math Skills. o Basic mechanical ability and knowledge of associated tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS oAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. oOccasionally requires stooping, kneeling and crouching, and climbing. oAbility to pass test and wear respirator. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen. Some positions also require a pre-hire medical exam. Must meet all work eligibility requirements. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
