Assistant Nurse Manager

This position is not eligible for the additional two steps per VA Handbook 5007.
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is accountable for adhering to established policies, standards of care and standards of practice,; demonstrating leadership in improving nursing care; and the administration, management, supervision and evaluation of both nursing care and nursing personnel on his/her designated unit and as assigned for the Medical Center on the off tours, weekends, and holidays.
Demonstrates, promotes, creates and ensures a culturally divers workforce in which the values and needs of all individuals are respected.
The ANM is responsible for ensuring that subordinate (patient care team) personnel provide timely nursing care which complies with generally accepted standards of clinical practice.
This includes the authority to accept, amend or reject the work of subordinates.
There are no relocation/recruitment incentives offered for this position.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 1 st Shift 8:
00 am to 4:
30 pm Weekends and evenings may apply.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
