Technical Writer
Permanent full time position in Lake Mary, FL. Must have SDLC experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Document template creation and management
o Creating technical documentation that include but are not limited to:
o Database Documentation
o Process Documentation
o User Manuals
o Product Features
o Training Materials
o Knowledgebase
o Application text content (Online Help etc.)
Qualification/Requirements:
o 3
years' experience writing technical documentation for software and applications
o Strong Microsoft office skills (Word/Excel etc.)
o Experience using Visio for process and logical diagramming
o Experience creating online help tools
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to work well within a team environment are essential
o Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are vital.
Advantageous Skills:
o Formal technical authoring qualification/membership
o e.g. STC Certified Professional Technical Writer
o Multimedia/graphical experience (PowerPoint/video etc.)
o Software analysis experience
o Previous experience with XML
o Previous experience working with applications written in Java
o Ability to present training materials to an audience that consists of internal and external customers
Education:
BS or BA degree (preferably: Science or computing due to technical nature of work)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
