Safety Manager

Company seeking Safety Manager to oversee management and delivery of a broad range of safety functions and will ensure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines.
Job
Responsibilities:
o Compile relevant data to measure effectiveness of safety programs and react to data provided by other managers and company's insurer to structure policies and procedures effectively
o Continuous Training of all personnel as it relates to their position
o Ongoing training PPE, Hazmat, Evacuation, Lockout/tagout, MSDS, other training as needed
o Develop Standard Operating Procedures as they relate to safety as applicable
o Inspection of plants
o Designing safety and compliance training for all levels of employees and ensuring delivery of same to keep the facility in compliance; conduct Regional safety meetings
o Interfacing with all regulatory agencies and internal staff regarding inspections, audits, incident reports, responses, and corrective actions (i.e. OSHA, DOT, FMCSA etc.)
o Working with others to evaluate new safety equipment and management of necessary PPE.
o Responding and providing assistance to all emergency situations.
o Keeping up-to-date on new safety methods and procedures to applicable codes and regulations or to maintain required level of certification.
o Travel Required 75%+
Other Duties that may Apply
o Create and monitor safety and accident review committees
o Insurance reporting and investigating of accidents and damage; dealing directly with insurance adjuster and customer; participate in claims review and settlement process
o Support protocols, overseeing, and conducting accident investigations, data analysis, and recurrence prevention programs and procedures.
o Managing and tracking all safety violations and maintains necessary records (OSHA etc.).
o Overseeing DOT required programming (i.e. driver certs/recerts, random drug screens, etc.)
Experience
o Basic computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
o Have the ability to handle tough situations with ease, influence, and authority
o Have the ability to flex hours to meet the needs of the business
o Ability to conduct meetings
o Be a skilled Safety expert with the ability to demonstrate experience in the areas of accountability above
o Expert knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA
o Must be detail oriented
o Must be able to think and react quickly in difficult situations
Education
o Five years of related experience with some portion in the manufacturing industry preferred
o Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Additional certifications - OSHA certifiedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
