Liferay developer:
Work closely with Analysts to gather requirements and develop web applications using Liferay J2EE Portal Framework, Spring, and Hibernate technologies
Support and monitor Liferay J2EE Portal application infrastructure, and maintain the health of the application server environment
Provide day-to-day support by fixing bugs, and implementing functional and technical enhancements
Implements web security principles
Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux OS
Support and interact with users and staff on various work-related issues
Maintain the data and operational integrity of systems
Perform feasibility analysis, technology and software assessment
Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Understands and applies resilient systems design
Hands-on API development
Strong working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and Web Services topics and techniques: XML, XML Schemas, XSLT, XPath, SOAP, REST, JSON
Expert knowledge of databases (MySQL, Oracle)
Experience with WebSphere, Weblogic, JBOSS AS, or Tomcat
