Operations/General Labor

Entry level position that performs a variety of tasks within the elevator operation. This is frequently used as a training position to provide opportunity for gaining additional skills within the elevator. Daily schedule changes based on operational needs and accomplished skill of the person in this role

Primary Job Duties
Completes extensive safety training for tasks assigned and complies with all CGB and OSHA safety requirements.
Heavy labor position that requires lifting, climbing, working around deep water, and working at significant heights.
Performs clean-up of elevator including sweeping, shoveling inside of grain bins, painting, and general upkeep.
Operates heavy equipment, front-end loader, excavator, skid loader and yard truck.
Assists in the process of loading barges
Works both inside and outside in extreme weather conditions.
Performs preventative maintenance

Job Requirements
Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft programs
Strong attention to detail
Able to perform basic math
Able to read and understand measurements
Experience in operation of heavy equipment
Maintenance knowledge a plus.
River experience a plus
Able to work extended hours as needed. Could work 1st or 2nd shift.

Experience Required
Minimum 12 Months Experience in a heavy labor position. Previous experience loading barges or working on the river a plus.

Degree Required
HS Diploma/GED or equivalent work/education combination.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
