Engineering Technician
The BOM/Engineering Specialist will be responsible for analyzing drawings, diagrams and schematics to assist the Proposal & Capture Department in formulating engineering data to support business development.
Primary Accountabilities:
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams and other information available to support the quoting and proposal efforts identified by management. Once material has been analyzed, a Bill of Material (BOM) shall be compiled and supplied for quoting purposes.
Researching and identifying military standards/specs and ensuring all technical data needed to supply a quote has been identified and provided.
Understand manufacturing and production capabilities of the company to ensure our company has the ability to meet all obligations stated in a solicitation. This includes working with production to identify material lead time, capacity constraints, machining time and production lead time.
The Engineering Technician must also ensure any special tooling required for projects is identified and accounted for within the proposal.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Engineering Technology Degree
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Creation and management of BOM's interpretation of specifications listed
1-3 Years of manufacturing experience
3-5 Years of engineering experience in a manufacturing capacity
TARGET REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors in Engineering from accredited college/ institute
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SolidWorks Certified
Understanding of engineering drawings and interpretation of specifications listed.
Ability to build BOM analyzing Government Technical Data Packages
Research and application of engineering specifications to
give direction to quoting department on potential projects. This includes identifying any
potential problems associated with manufacturing requirements
3-5 Years of machine shop experience and understanding of machining capabilities to provide direction for quoting or sourcing components within a project

Years of applicable engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
