Behavior Specialist 1
Position Summary
This Behavior Specialist 1 position reports to a Residential Director to ensure proper planning, management and evaluation of behavior support services and activities. The Behavior Specialist 1 oversees Renew Consulting, Inc.'s behavior support services including the creation of Functional Assessments, Interaction Guidelines, and Behavior Support Plans as well as data tracking and staff training on behalf of Renew Consulting, Inc. clients. The Behavior Specialist 1 trains staff on positive behavior supports and Oregon Intervention System (OIS) philosophy and practices. The Behavior Specialist 1 is responsible for ensuring quality of services and contract fulfillment of consulting services for Renew Consulting, Inc. clients. As part of the position, the Behavior Specialist 1 will also be trained to assist with consulting cases that are not directly assigned to this position.
Hours/Shifts
This is a full time position. Shifts may vary, but will most often be daytime, Monday through Friday, and include regularly-scheduled periods of remaining on call 24-hours.
Qualifications:
Behavior Specialist 1
Undergraduate degree in the human services field plus at least one year of experience in the area of behavior supports for individuals with mental health needs and/or developmental disabilities; or three years of equivalent education, certifications, and work experience relating to behavior supports for individuals with mental health needs and/or developmental disabilities.
Demonstrate competence in written and verbal communication skills and experience with Functional Assessments, Interaction Guidelines, and Behavior Support Plans. Ability and willingness to solve problems by seeking out and collaborating with resources within and outside of Renew.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities and individuals including clients, guardians, healthcare professionals, and state and county officials.
Verifiable computer/office technology skills.
Obtain Oregon Intervention System (OIS) Agency Instructor certification within one year of hire.
Satisfactory criminal history check, meeting company policy requirements.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record, meeting company insurance requirements.
Must be able to frequently drive a personal and/or company vehicle.
Starting at $2,400 to $2,900 per month-depending on experience.
Behavior Specialist 2
Position Summary
The Behavior Specialist 2 position will ensure proper planning, management and evaluation of behavior support services and activities. The Behavior Specialist 2 oversees many of Renew Consulting, Inc.'s behavior support services including the writing of Functional Assessments, Interaction Guidelines, Behavior Support Plans, Treatment Plans as well as data tracking and staff training on behalf of Renew Consulting, Inc. clients. The Behavior Specialist 2 trains staff on positive behavior supports and Oregon Intervention System (OIS) philosophy and practices. The Behavior Specialist 2 is responsible for ensuring quality of services and contract fulfillment of consulting services for Renew Consulting, Inc. clients. As part of the position, the Behavior Specialist 2 will also be trained to assist with consulting cases that are not directly assigned to this position.

Qualifications:
Behavior Specialist 2
Bachelor's or Master's degree in human services field plus at least three years of experience in the area of behavior supports for individuals with mental health needs and/or developmental disabilities; or 5 years work experience directly relating to and working on behavior supports or therapy plans for individuals with mental health disorders and /or developmental disabilities (an equivalent combination of education and/or certifications may be considered at the discretion of the COO or CEO).
Demonstrate competence conducting Functional Assessments as well as developing and implementing support documents such as Interaction Guidelines, Behavior Support Plans, etc.
Ability and willingness to solve problems by seeking out and collaborating with resources within and outside of Renew.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities and individuals including clients, guardians, healthcare professionals, and state and county officials.
Verifiable verbal and written communication skills and computer/office technology skills.
Current Oregon Intervention System (OIS) Independent Trainer Certification or obtained by six months of hire.
Satisfactory criminal history check, meeting company policy requirements.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record, meeting company insurance requirements.
Must be able to frequently drive a personal and/or company vehicle.
Starting at $3,300 to $3,500 per month-depending on experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
