Position:
We are looking for a critical thinker with the desire to learn to join our funding team as well as to provide direct guidance and supervision of our Municipal Advisor (MA) program. Our funding team strives to help our client communities complete the necessary water, sewer, street, storm water, and general municipal infrastructure projects at the lowest feasible cost by helping them secure grants and loans. This person will facilitate overall Municipal Advisor workload, assist the funding team with CDBG, RD, SRF, and other funding programs, as well as, serve as a municipal finance specialist at client meetings as needed.
Location:
Baraboo, WI; Beaver Dam, WI; or Madison, WI
Responsibilities:
Direct management and facilitation MSAs Municipal Advisor activities as the Chief Compliance Officer for the company including direct supervision of the companys MA activities and related municipal finance programs.
Provide assistance to the Municipal Funding Team regarding the use of various state and federal grant and loan programs (USDA Rural Development, State Revolving Loan Fund or equivalent, Community Development Block Grant Program, DNR Stewardship, etc.).
Attend meetings (daily and evening) to provide guidance and support to MSA staff and client communities re: available and advisable program funding options to assist with financing of various community development and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Public Administrator, Finance, or related degree is required
MBA would be a plus
5 or more years of experience with finance, local government, or with state and federal grant and subsidized loan programs is required (10
years preferred)
Ability to achieve certification as a Municipal Advisor is required (Series 50)
Knowledge of requirements of the Municipal Advisor position as outlined in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act is required, as well as a thorough understanding of MSRB and SEC regulations
Solid written and verbal communication skills required
Previous experience or knowledge of public administration, engineering, construction would be a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
