Senior Training Specialist - Financial software
Financial firm in NY needs:
Senior Training Specialist
Financial trading and risk management software
strong background in training complemented with a good understanding of programming
willingness to travel internationally 70% of their time
Knowledge of training techniques such as ADDIE or SAM would be a plus.
A working knowledge of .net, JAVA, and SQL is a plus for this position.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience in the Commodity or Financial markets.
Responsibilities:
The overall functions and duties of this position consist of Internal and Client training of our proprietary trading and risk management software application.
Also responsible for developing & facilitating training programs and coordinating with account representatives for training held at client sites.
Assist in the development of employees, in all divisions of the company, and complete special projects as necessary.
Will need to create training workbooks, documents, agendas, and other course materials and prepare a database for training courses.
Record training sessions and private sessions, including computer based training development.
Work with system administration department to configure the training room and communicate this configuration to Project Managers.
Recommendations of courses to management and maintain course attendance is also part of this role.
Requirements:
excellent written and communication skills as the position requires communication with clients and staff from all levels.
Knowledge of training techniques such as ADDIE or SAM would be a plus.
A working knowledge of .net, JAVA, and SQL is a plus for this position.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience in the Commodity or Financial markets.
Excellent attention to detail
advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Power Point and Excel.
Candidates must possess the drive to complete tasks within aggressive time constraints, which may require working through off-hours to complete critical deliverables / reports.
The candidate must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time.
Multi-lingual in Spanish and or Portuguese is a plus for this position.
