Registered Nurse - Perioperative/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

MAJOR DUTIES(Perioperative/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)The Perioperative Nurse is directly responsible to the designated Manager or designee.
The Perioperative Staff Nurse possess intraoperative skills; specific to skills and duties of a Circulator and Scrub nurse; and PACU nurse.
The Perioperative Staff Nurse possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process within collaborative and interdisciplinary practice settings.
This broad clinical knowledge enables the Perioperative Staff Nurse to effectively direct patient and family care; prepare for surgical cases; guide and support scrub technicians in the patient care process.
The Perioperative Nurse communicates and interacts appropriately and courteously with internal and external customers.
Maintains confidentiality of written, electronic, and verbal patient/employee information.
Works and functions within a safe manner including infection control and use of equipment.
Assures that patient safety is paramount in all aspects of patient care.
Integrates and applies pertinent aspects of the Surgery performance improvement program into his/her professional practice.
Utilizes nursing research and literature in practice.
Integrates and applies aspects of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations National Patient Safety Goals as applicable to the perioperative area of practice.
The Perioperative Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to direct care appropriate to the age/population related needs of veteran patients served in perioperative areas.
This knowledge includes an understanding of the changes associated with aging and the relevance of this knowledge in developing and implementing a plan of care.
In addition, the Perioperative Nurse will be evaluated for competency in the following elements as identified for the perioperative area of practice:
Clinical/Technical Skills (Circulator and Scrub Nurse duties); Post-Anesthesia Patient Care Skills; Knowledge of care & delivery and age specific needs of the population served; Interpersonal skills and customer serviceWork Schedule:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
