Program Analyst
Incumbent will perform detailed analysis on all aspects related to the Veterans Equitable Resource Allocation (VERA) Model and patient workload.
This will include reviewing computerized medical records, diagnostic and procedural data, and the assignment of specific codes to support reporting and Vesting assignments under VERA.
This may also include reviewing procedures associated with direct patient care units as well as cost elements and relative value units (RVU) for each procedure.
Incumbent will compile VERA reports and training presentations.
Incumbent will review out-patient non-vested veterans on a monthly basis and cases with potential lost complexity.
Incumbent will review existing encounters and as appropriate, correct or work with Services to review for possible vesting visit.
Incumbent will also review patient treatment files (PTF) with VERA edits for accuracy and documentation and determine if Services are capturing data appropriately, identify classification errors and provide findings to supervisor and/or Chief Financial Officer for purpose of educating personnel on maximizing accuracy of VERA classification data.
The incumbent will produce reports and studies on analytical work completed.
