Mainframe Software Developer HLASM z/OS Level Two Support
Software Company located near 95 south of Boston. Close to Rhode Island.
We are looking for a Senior Developer team member to participate in an exciting role with a Boston-area software products development firm. Experience in a mainframe environment is required. We want to leverage your development background while working within a dynamic team of experts.
Duties include:
Coding and maintaining product software
Providing level 2 technical support and problem resolution for customers
Developing test programs and JCL; active in conducting product test and validation
Support product demonstrations
Essential expertise that will contribute to success:
In depth knowledge of z/OS
Extensive knowledge of IBM High Level Assembler Language (HLASM)
JCL, TSO/ISPF
Experience with MVS, SMF, JES2, and DB2 exits
Strong troubleshooting skills using IPCS and dump analysis
Comfortable working with customers
Willing to travel occasionally
: Experience working for commercial software products firm in a development role
MVS systems programming
DB2 administration, SQL
COBOL , C
CICS
Working knowledge of networking
Target Salary: 130's plus small bonus and 401k
Potential to learn .Net or C#
US Citizenship or Green Card is required. Local candidates only.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
