Operations Manager - Must Have MRP Experience

We are currently hiring for an Operations Manager who is:
o Hands-on in a dynamic small shop environment where everyone is challenged by rolling up their sleeves to develop and implement solutions for our customer.

Basic Responsibilities
o Responsible for driving cost out of the Operation through the use of Lean methodologies - including engagement of employees and measuring performance through Operational KPI's.
o Lead MRP/ERP/Real-Time System Implementation
o Champion Lean Program and Employee involvement while coordinating all Kaizen Events
o Support New Product Launches to achieve Flawless Launch Goals
o Oversees all levels of manufacturing to ensure smooth operation of departments, leading to 100% On-Time Delivery, 100% Customer Lot Acceptance while maintaining an acceptable level of inventory.
o Ensures that proper support is provided to production on injection molding, assembly and packaging processes.
o Ensure adequate and comprehensive cross-training and development of all responsible department employees. Develop training programs and procedures to document adequate training in compliance with internal procedures.
o Interfaces with customers on product delivery issues, and assures past dues, and overtime goals are met or exceeded.
o Sets targets to improve productivity, reduce scrap and material waste; for effective training of production personnel using standard work
o Work with Management to assure that effective personnel are hired, retained, and developed, and temporary staffing needs are properly met.
o Improve set-up reductions, maximize equipment utilization and provide measurements on performance monthly.
o Assists with maintaining and support of the Quality System to ISO 13485:2003 standards.
o Helps to develop, maintain and improve as necessary the documentation system for all internal processes, inspection criteria, Bill of Materials, Routers, and other documents as required in accordance with GMP's.
o Maintains adherence to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices
Required Qualifications
o BS degree in Business or equivalent
o A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a production environment, with 3
years in a supervisory position.
o Must have experience running MRP/ERP Systems, materials management
o Lean Manufacturing Background
o Experience driving performance & cost reduction through Operational KPI's
o Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers including presentation skills.
o Demonstrated experience providing leadership, managing multiple projects of medium complexity
o Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
o Must have exposure to injection molding processes, equipment, and automation.
o Facilities management experience
Preferred Qualifications
o Experience planning material and scheduling requirements using SAP MRP System
o APICS Certification or background a plus

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
