Outdoor Garden Center Merchandiser

Floral Plant Growers (FPG) is looking for seasonal, part-time merchandisers for spring/summer. This position will work within a local home improvement garden center to stock, display and merchandise annual flowers.
This seasonal position will start in late March or early April and go through June. Day, evening and weekend shifts are available. One weekend shift is required every week. A minimum of 10 hours per week and up to 30
hours per week can be accommodated.
Job Duties
- Stock, display and merchandise FPG annual flowers in garden center
- Identify unsalable product to be tossed
- Utilize hand held technology for product pricing and ad sets
- Answer customer questions to help sell FPG product
- Maintain a clean, well-organized garden center
- Communicate product needs and store concerns to your manager

Qualifications
- Prior merchandising experience in a retail environment preferred
- Plant knowledge in either a personal or professional setting a plus
- Attention to detail with the ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Dependable and punctual
- Consistent, reliable transportation
- Available to work Mother's Day weekend and Memorial Day weekend
- Daily access to computer and e-mail
- Personal cell phone required with the ability to call, text and take pictures
- Ability to stand for the duration of your shift while regularly lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling and reaching overhead
- Ability to work as a team and independently with limited supervision
