Intake Coordinator

We are actively looking for an experienced Intake Coordinator to assist Sophie's Healthcare Rockland in daily processing of patient referrals for home health services. Considered applicants for this position must have experience as an Intake Coordinator with a home health agency, as this is a specific and detailed skill set.
Responsibilities:
The Intake Coordinator is responsible for answering incoming calls from providers and patients while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity.
Document referrals from agencies and referral sources , Entering referral information, coordinate admission process.
Assist Client Services Coordinator in obtaining insurance authorizations and doctor's orders
Assist Client Services Coordinator in daily administrative functions (filing, faxing, documentation, computer data entry, case staffing)
Track authorizations from payer sources to assist client service coordinator in scheduling service visits and billing for services
Answer phones and accurately document and route calls; Responds to incoming provider's and patient's calls
Resolves customer service inquiries
Experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
Entering referral information, coordinate admission process
Provides excellent customer service to both providers and Patients
Constantly meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.
Assists with faxes and emails
Maintain filing system
Generate necessary forms;
Handle patient inquiries;
Other functions as directed by management.
Requirements:

Constantly meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.
Home Health Experience as Intake Coordinator is preferred
Experience with Payer eligibility & authorizations preferred
Highly developed organizational skills;
Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written;
Working knowledge of medical or durable medical equipment industry is preferred
Healthcare experience in a doctor's office, provider office, or hospital setting preferred
Authorization to work in the United States
Available to work 40 hours per week anytime within the operating hours of the site
Prior stable work experience
Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system application and apply their use for phone and off phone
Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
