Parkersburg Outstation - position belongs to the Vet Center, Huntington, WV.
Primary purpose of position is to provide administrative and clerical support to a multi-disciplinary team providing counseling services to Veterans with readjustment problems.
Provides customer service to all Veterans and their families/friends who are visiting the outstation for services.
Incumbent looks for delays or problems in service delivery and initiates action/resolution.
Receives contacts from and provides assistance to government representatives, Veteran service organizations, public/private agencies, physicians and attorneys.
Types correspondence, reports and other material from handwritten or rough draft materials using proper grammar and format.
Answers telephone, takes messages and assists callers as needed.
Assists in accumulation, collation and summarization of information/data for various reports and research and processing correspondence and other material.
File documents as appropriate.
Assists and sorts outgoing and incoming mail, faxes, shipments, etc.
Incumbent is part of a small team responsible for many of the administrative, supply and support functions for the Parkersburg Outstation with minimal oversight by the Huntington Team Leader.
Position is temporary and expected to continue at least 13 months.
Candidate will be entitled to acquire leave and benefits.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
