JOB RESPONSIBILITY
The SAS Secure Information Systems (SIS) product organization is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to take a lead role in projects developing of new cryptographic and secure communications products. Secure Information Systems develops cryptographic solutions primarily for government communications systems.
The Senior Systems Engineer defines system architecture, defines and creates complex system specifications, coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system, and conducts independent technical investigations into systems design alternatives. They also:
Socialize designs with team and integrate suggestions and changes as appropriate.
Provide documentation as appropriate including requirements specification, design documentation, certification documents, and end-user documentation,
Participate in design and code reviews of other team members.
MUST HAVE
6
years of relevant experience
Embedded system design and development
Requirements definition and management
Ability to lead a technical team
Strong oral and written communications ability
NICE TO HAVE
Knowledge of cryptographic products
Familiarity with Type 1 certification process
Formal EVMS
Network protocols
Knowledge Space/ground communications

Requires Education:
BS/MS in Hardware, Software or Systems EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
