Summary:
The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for recruiting/searching, screening and recommending placement of candidates by using established and creative sourcing methods. The Recruiting Specialist will establish contact and work with various applicable vocational schools and universities for recruitment of candidates.
Responsibilities:
Partner with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
Screen resumes, interview candidates, by phone and/or in person, administer appropriate assessments, reference/background checks and motor vehicle reports, make recommendations for hire or not hire, and deliver employment offers for exempt or non-exempt position openings within Company territory.
Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to ensure updated information on interview status.
Communicate important employment information during delivery of employment offers, such as benefits, compensation, vacation, etc.
Coordinate with candidate and medical facility for pre-employment physicals required for hiring.
Develop advertising/marketing resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc.
Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations including Affirmative Action Plan compliance.
Manage application and resume file and retention according to Company policy.
Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external candidates and clients.
Manage current candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System.
Process all recruiting functions within Ultipro.
Other duties as assigned.
Reports To: Director, Human Resources
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/
Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college plus five years human resources. experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, a plus.
Two to three years of full life-cycle recruiting in high volume environment.
Skills and Abilities:
Customer Service focused.
Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong working knowledge of current federal and state regulations related to employment. (EEOC, ADA, etc.)
Adaptable to change.
Computer proficiency with MS Office, internet search engines, and Ultipro.
Ability to travel, up to 50%, including overnight travel.
Team oriented.
Effectively communicate one-on-one and in small groups with employees, customers, and clients.
Pleasant and professional demeanor with employees, customers, and clients.
Answer routine calls where appropriate and respond in a timely manner.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
