Description:
Three Project Managers are needed to work with ITS and OPWDD staff to define detailed business requirements and specifications for OPWDD's business transformation.
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, (OPWDD), in consultation with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) and federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is in the process of designing and implementing significant changes to the OPWDD service system through the development of a new People First waiver. As OPWDD and its stakeholders work together to develop the People First Waiver, they will examine specialized managed care models that integrate acute medical and long-term care services to achieve improved outcomes and quality of care, while lowering costs. Implementation of the People First Waiver will require major information technology supports which will result in dramatic changes to the IT infrastructure. The changes affecting the IT infrastructure will include creating a managed care delivery system; development of more flexible, person-centered, community-based supports and services; coordination of comprehensive services; and improved quality measurement and transparency, in order to facilitate enhanced quality of life for the individuals served by OPWDD.
The Project manager will be called upon to lead teams of Business Sponsors, Team Leaders, Business Analysts, SME's Stakeholders and others to complete projects on time and within budget.
Managing assigned projects.
Assemble cross functional project teams
Produce detailed Project Plans
Produce Project documentation including Business Case, Charter, Scope, WBS, task definitions, Schedule, Budget, Communications Plan, Risk and Issue logs
Responsible for time and resource allocation, tracking and leveling
Lead meetings, facilitating communications, provide agendas, minutes, status reports and executive summaries.

Requested
Qualifications:
Minimum 60 months direct experience creating and maintaining Project Plans using Microsoft Project, including developing detailed project plans, assigning resources to tasks, tracking progress, managing the project budget, scope/change control and analyzing workloads, project milestones, dependencies and critical path.
Minimum 60 months direct experience writing deliverables, including business and functional requirements as well as design, development, testing and deployment plans.
Minimum 60 months following PMBOK guidelines creating Project documentation, including Project Plans, business case, charter, scope, communications plans, WBS, schedules, risk management plans, issue logs.
Minimum 60 months assisting with and facilitating communications with diverse groups of executives, managers, technical experts and subject matter experts.
Minimum 24 months direct experience managing projects related to the Health Care Industry.
