Be responsible for researching and analyzing existing and potential market conditions in local, regional, or national area to determine potential sales of product; Develop market profiles and present opportunities in new markets and growth potential in current markets; Conduct project-specific market audits and research, and gather market data in target segments, such as benchmarks, needs and values; Run and analyze statistical market data through contracted vendors and syndicated databases to forecast future market trends; Develop and manage internal and external contact network for market trends; Establish research methodology and design format for data gathering, such as surveys and questionnaires; Support strategic accounts with customized market research, and compile and catalog samples for key account projects; Gather data on competitors and analyze prices, sales and methods of marketing and distribution; Monitor and summarize industry publications, and collect data on customer preferences and buying habits; and Compile presentation materials, and prepare reports and graphic illustrations of findings.
