Physiatrist (Chief of Pain Clinic)
The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Dublin, Georgia is currently recruiting for a Physician with Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation who will serve as the Chief of Pain Clinic.
) Chief oversight of a large complex multidisciplinary Pain Clinic, to include full and direct supervision of Physiatrists (acupuncturists and chiropractors), massage therapists and administrative personnel.
o Remain clinically active in an extensive range of physiatry evaluation and treatment of routine and complex acute, sub-acute and chronic neurological and musculoskeletal disorders and other pain syndromes including peripheral joint and trigger point injections, facet blocks, and electro diagnostics is required.
o Full clinical and administrative responsibility for programs and services.
o Applicant is encouraged to develop specialty programs according to their interests, experience, and expertise with structured goals accountable to the Chief of Geriatrics and Extended Care, as a measure of ongoing quality care and physician performance, and overall service leadership.
o Provides direct service Physician leadership on productivity documentation and quality of clinical care.
o Provides oversight of acupuncturists, chiropractors, and massage therapists productivity, documentation and quality of clinical care.
o Expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and facet blocks injections.
o Maintain ongoing active participation with the VA Pain Management National Program Office.
o Participation on hospital level committees.
o Maintains primary responsibility for business, budgetary, and strategic planning for PM&R service, reporting directly to the hospital chief of Geriatrics and Extended Care.
o Maintains primary responsibility for quality management and accreditation standard compliance oversight for PM&R service, reporting directly to the Chief of Geriatrics and Extended Care.
o Serves on VISN and facility level committees and performs other Medical Center Director and Chief Of Staff delegated assignments.
Tour of Duty:
Monday - Friday, 8:
00 am to 4:
30 pm.
Will be available at any other time needed.
