Sanitary Process Piping Foreman / Supervisor
Wright Process Systems is looking for field foremen and supervisors to join our sanitary process piping installation team.
Our field crew members are responsible for all installation and fabrication aspects of our Food Process system installation projects. All crew members must bring an energetic and positive attitude to work every day, with the mindset to do everything possible to assure profitable, high quality, and on-time installations leading to ecstatic customers.
The Field Foreman position is responsible for running medium to large jobsites with multiple crew members. This position requires established experience in sanitary process installations, process construction, team leadership, TIG/MIG welding and mechanical techniques, coordination, scheduling, communication, and problem solving. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader, master installer, and is forward-thinking for controlling quality, profit and schedule elements of field installations.
The Field Supervisor position is responsible for leading teams of 2-4 crewmembers on small projects or strategic portions of larger projects. The Field Supervisor leads schedule, performance, and quality installation efforts for themselves and their team. The ideal candidate is an accomplished TIG welder/fitter, performing quality work directly and leading others by example.
Applicants should be experienced in sanitary purge TIG welded process piping and installation skills. An understanding of sanitary requirements, regulations, and best practices is required.
These positions are full time with benefits available after a successfully completed probationary period. These positions are field positions, requiring regular travel to and from jobsites. Travel and stay expenses are covered by Wright Process, including daily per diem allowance paid to each employee, where applicable outside of working radius of our offices and/or employee home locations. Field crews are deployed from both our Lodi CA and Tulare CA offices. Our projects are typically located in the Central Valley, Bay Area, and surrounding areas of California, and also include some project locations in the continental US.
Qualifications:
1) Experience in sanitary process installation trade work per the following:
a. Field Foreman - 5 years in a Foreman level position
b. Field Supervisor - 3 years in a Supervision level position
2) Ability to read and understand engineering documentation including layout drawings, P&I/D schematics, sketches, details, weld specifications, material specifications, and installation instructions
3) Knowledge of welding and fabrication elements: filler rod, wire, purge and shield gases, hand tools, power tools, material finishing, material preparation, fit-up, etc
4) Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel materials is required
5) Experience with copper, galvanized, ductile iron, and exotic materials is a plus
6) Experience and commitment to taking care of company and personal tools, equipment, and components
7) Experience with industrial maintenance tasks such as pump rebuilding, equipment leveling and aligning, valve rebuilding, etc is a plus
8) Thorough understanding of sanitary process installation practices
9) Familiarity with general construction equipment, vehicles, tools, and components
10) Understanding of industrial safety requirements with proven history of safe work
11) Understanding of industrial food process GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety protection requirements
12) Excellent organization, multi-tasking, self-motivation, attention to detail, and discipline
13) Excellent customer service, communication, and coworker interaction
14) Must be a team-player and support all coworkers
15) Valid California driver's license and vehicle insurance
16) Must be drug free, accountable, on time, and have exemplary work ethic
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
