Waste Water Division Manager - Klamath Falls
The City of Klamath Falls is looking for a Wastewater Division Manager to provide leadership and management for our Level IV Plant including collections and treatment.
Reporting to the Public Works Director, this position provides leadership and management for the wastewater utility including strategic planning, asset management, personnel development, fiscal management and regulatory compliance.
This is an exciting time to join our staff. The City will be constructing approximately $30 million in upgrades to the plant over the next several years. We are in discussion with our neighboring utility for ways to partner and save taxpayer dollars while we continue to meet the ever increasing demand and regulations.
This challenge requires someone with vision, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively. You will be involved in a project that has impact well into the future.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, environmental science or related field with a minimum of five years of experience in the management of operations, capital planning and maintenance of wastewater systems and minimum of five years of supervisory experience. Relevant AA Degree and 8-10 years of supervisory or management experience in Wastewater may be substituted for BS degree in qualified candidates.
In addition, a Certification as Wastewater Operator Level IV in Oregon (or equivalent reciprocity) is required with demonstrated continuing education in utility management, wastewater treatment and collections, and asset management.
The City offers a comprehensive benefit package with competitive pay. The salary range is between $62,000 and $87,000 annually depending on experience.
