Our local branch is currently seeking compassionate Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) to work within our clients' homes providing support with daily living tasks, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physical Therapist. Centrus CHHAs ensure our patients receive essential social and emotional support and provide vital information on patient conditions to nurses.
Responsibilities of the CHHA include, but are not limited to the following:
Baths
Back rubs
Oral hygiene
Shampoos
Changing bed linen
Assisting patients with dressing and undressing
Skin care to prevent breakdown
Assisting the patient with toileting activities
Keeping patient's living area clean and orderly, as appropriate
Planning and preparing nutritious meals
Assisting in feeding the patient, if necessary
Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care
Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
Assisting patient in the self-administration of medication
Doing patient's laundry, as appropriate
Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc)
Reporting on patient's condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse
Adherence to Centrus documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Meets the training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws when applicable
Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Successful completion of Centrus screening examinations with a score of 80% or greater
Participation and completion of Centrus competency program

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
