The Future Medical Examiner manages the medical care in accordance with the award, once a claim has been settled.
Essential Functions:
o Payment of benefits where applicable (Life pension, PD, medical bills and medical mileage reimbursement)
o Diary compliance (new mail & CMR's), verify, analyze and appropriately establish reserves based on lifetime exposure.
o Excess reporting and request for reimbursement where applicable.
o Verbal and written communication with our injured workers and clients.
o Adhere to client protocols as well as York operating definitions
Core Competencies:
o Strong technical skills.
o Good human relation skills, including the ability to work in conjunction with other administrative, management, and supervisory employees.
o Ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively and in a professional manner.
Knowledge-Required and Preferred:
o Working knowledge of claims handling and settlement procedures in the California Workers' Compensation system.
o Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Microsoft Word.
o Current on California WC continuing education requirements.
o WCCA designation
o Bilingual/Spanish a plus
o Public Entity experience preferred
o SIP certified requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
