JOB TITLE: Hanford Site Beryllium Health Advocate
Job Description
Successful Candidates will:
Support Clients' employees with medical surveillance and workers compensation processes and programs.
Provide assistance to Hanford beryllium affected workers (i.e. workers who have been diagnosed as Beryllium sensitized, having Chronic Beryllium Disease, or any other medical condition related to beryllium), in coordination with other contractors' BHA's in navigating:
o Workers' Compensation claims
o Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) claims, and
o Contractor HR policies and procedures that are applicable to the needs of beryllium affected workers, particularly travel policies and procedures for medical related trips.
Provide recommendations to DOE on improvements to the medical restriction/ removal process, interfaces with the Hanford Site Workers' Compensation Claims Services contractor, beryllium counseling, etc.
Assist in the development of various training and outreach materials for MSA and other site contractors (Brochures, posters, videos, etc.)
Contribute to presentations, interviews, discussions, and training in support of MSA employees with occupational health issues/concerns.
Support outreach discussions to other site contractor affected workers.
Support ESH&T industrial hygienists on ensuring that Beryllium Corrective Action Plan actions are well understood by workers (i.e., posting, permits, etc.)
Attend meetings of the Beryllium Awareness Group (BAG) and the Site Wide Chronic Beryllium Disease Prevention Program Committee and Beryllium Corrective Action Plan Core and Product Teams to support these groups in obtaining documentation, conducting research and addressing issues.
REQUIRED
BS degree in health and safety discipline or relevant experience related to 10 CFR 850, beryllium programs, beryllium health effects and associated medical and compensation programs, and related Washington Department of Labor regulations, Washington Labor and Industry, Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Act (EEOICPA) regulations.
Applicant must be very familiar with medical surveillance policies and processes. At least 10 years of work experience on the Hanford Site preferred.
DURATION
Expected period of performance shall be from date of hire through September 30, 2015 (with one additional option year)

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
