JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of this position will include the operations and management of personnel unit or program providing HR support to the company. The Human Resource Manager directs the work of professional staff. The Manager works within general methods, procedures, and exercises considerable independent judgment to select and implement proper courses of action. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of personnel management and human resources development programs, and supervisory techniques, promotion, welfare, and other employer/employee relationships; source, screen and assist in interviewing job applicants; develop personnel record forms; adjust disputes and grievances and recommends necessary disciplinary actions; analyzes, classifies and evaluate jobs. The HR Manager serves as an adviser to Management staff in personnel implications of policies, programs, and proposed organization changes. This position directs planning including compliance matters with labor laws, coordination and delivery of HR services through subordinate staff: participates in short and long term planning; oversees administrative functions to policy development and implementation, and personnel administration. This position is full-time Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and occasionally on the weekends.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Required
BA or BS degree in Human resources and/or related field
Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to communicate effectively utilizing both written and verbal skills
Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and to small groups

Preferred
Master's degree in psychology, special education, child development or applied behavior analysis
Previous work experience with the Regional Center
SPHR, PHR or SHRM Certification

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
