Material Planner I
This is a contract role for a Material Planner who will support and maintain accuracy of the plants internal and external scheduling processes.
Essential Functions Support Product Engineer management of Purchase Order documentation deliverables Perform minor and preventative maintenance planning parameters Review and update customer promise dates as needed.
Maintain accurate paperwork, audit for correct part numbers & quantities, and perform related PC data entry/ retrieval transactions.
Effectively create, coordinate and distribute necessary paperwork to appropriate areas, including the preparation of work order packets, labels, work orders completed and move tickets to ensure accurate work order accuracy and timely closure.
Inform appropriate personnel of material needs/shortages of safety stock and/or delays of raw materials both verbally and in writing.
Plans purchase order released for product to support desired production and inventory levels Effectively manage suppliers to maintain a high performance in quality and delivery.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree preferred 6 months experience in a position/job supporting the scheduling/materials function in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Ability to read, understand and effectively apply information contained in all applicable documents.
Possess computer data management skills (able to create / manipulate spreadsheets and enter data accurately), ability to properly use Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability and willingness to successfully complete training navigate in an MFGPro environment.
Demonstrated ability to interact positively with other employees in a team oriented environment.
Strong written and verbal communications skills Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision in a high involvement, team oriented work atmosphere, effectively supporting the work activities of employees and supervisor.
Prior history of satisfactory operation of mechanized material handling equipment and/or willingness and ability to complete and pass training/licensing course within first week in this classification.
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and any shift as needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
