Purchasing Manager
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will have the following main
Responsibilities:
- 5 or more years experience in purchasing & procurement. Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
-Must have superior understanding and experience with business software, enterprise software and able to coach and train others. SAP experience preferred.
-Select suppliers, maintain relationships with suppliers. Assist with purchase of raw materials, parts and services.
-Review purchase orders, ensure required materials and terms and conditions are met and understood.
-Expedite purchase orders to ensure delivery and lead times.
-Negotiate with suppliers, review contract terms and ensure vendor compliance.
-Optimize storeroom inventory, supervise storeroom staff.
-Assist with purchase of raw materials, parts and services.
-Ability to be self-directed, but also respect team requirements and communication.
Job
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma. Additional education in a mechanical field is a plus.
-3-5 years of experience in production or mechanical fields.
-Able to work holidays, weekends, and rotating twelve (12) hour shifts.
-An understanding of the importance of safety, team work, good attendance, and production demands.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
