Metal Fabricator and Sand Blasting Positions
Metal Fabricator. Must be Certified
Responsible for assembling metal products using tools, machines, and their own hands to fabricate various types of products.
Primary responsibilities
Study and interpret assembly instructions. Fabricate frameworks or shells for lawn rollers, fire bowls, and other products.
Listen to directions from supervisors, Fabricate and assemble structural metal products.
Read and interpret blueprints and sketches, Read parts list.
Position parts and subassemblies, Interpret measurements.
Hammer, grind, and chip workpieces, Verify specifications.
Assemble components, Ensure all parts are fitted properly.
Alter dimensions to fit specifications. Resolve assembly and production issues.
Complete preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
Ensure working environment is clean and safe. Operate fabricating machines such as welder, plasma cutter, bender, and lathe.
Report errors in product line. Check stock to ensure inventory is replenished.
Complete quality control inspections. Place orders for supplies.
Participate in product development. Build prototypes and test products.
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more as required.
Wages:
9.50/hr starting pay
Sand Blaster
Responsible for maintaining and operating sandblasting tools and equipment. Sandblasting of items as required.
Primary responsibilities
Interpret assembly and maintenance instructions. Sandblast propane tanks with the goal of eight 500 gallon tanks completed per day
Listen to directions from supervisors. Repair sandblasting tool and equipment as needed
Maintain sandblasting tools and equipment as needed Read parts list
Assemble tools and materials Operate loaders to maneuver tanks and other items blasted
Ensure a high level of safety by assessing risks prior to operation of equipment Resolve any production issues
Complete preventive maintenance Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
Ensure working environment is clean and safe Report errors in product line to ensure quality
Check stock to ensure inventory is replenished Complete quality control inspections
Place orders for supplies Participate in product development
Able to lift and/or move 50 lbs
Wages:
8.10/hr starting pay Hours M-F 8a to 5p
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
