Architectual Design Specialist
Job title: Architectural Design Specialist (ADS)
1 - Responsibility: Follow up on existing projects within region (50% of responsibility)
o Follow up with architects on specifications, sample requests and substitution requests to help secure specifications
o Call on GC's to determine bidding or awarded glazing contractors
o Call on glazing contractors to ensure they're quoting specific products, inquire about project timing, inquire about additional projects they're working on, build relationship
o Call on fabricators to follow up on project leads and secured projects
o Schedule project review meetings, run reports prior to calls, facilitate calls
Expectations: Minimum of 100 project follow-up calls per month and minimum of 16 projects per month where glazier bid list or glazier awarded was identified by ADS. Information obtained from follow-up calls will be sent to sales team and projects will be updated in SalesLogix. Progress will be reported in weekly emails and monthly report. Project review meetings will be conducted bi-weekly with ADS leading the call.
2 - Responsibility: Call on early planning stage projects and drive specifications for vendor (30% of responsibility)
o Research and qualify new project opportunities
o Increase the number of planning stage leads and glazier update leads
o Follow up on warm leads from various sources (websites, hotlines, SpecLink, BIM, etc.) to help Guardian obtain specification
Expectations: Minimum of 12 ADS generated sales leads per month and minimum of 2 ADS self-reported specifications per month. Progress will be reported in monthly report. New project opportunities may be turned over to the ADM or managed by the ADS.
3 - Responsibility: Project related support (20% of responsibility)
o Assist sales team with project/company research
o Assist sales team with SLX updates
o Assist sales team with sample orders, performance calculation, SLX reports, etc.
Expectations: Assist sales team as needed
Experience:
o Applicable 4 year college degree preferred
o 2 - 5 years relevant business experience
o Strong verbal and writing skills
o Direct communication skills, both listening and presenting
o Good problem solver
o Able to work toward deadlinesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
