Surgical Technician - King City - Full Time and Contracts
We are currently working with several of the main Bay Area healthcare facilities to screen and interview quality Surg Techs for Per Diem, Contract, and Direct Hire positions. Our hospital is actively seeking an outstanding Surg Tech to work in our Operating Room. As a Surg tech, the will be responsible for assisting the surgeon, helping in the central sterile processing department, restocking and changing over rooms between procedures. The Operating Room Technician (Surg Tech) will assist with nursing care and preparation of surgical patient by performance of routine and delegated duties, according to standards and policies of the center. Performs housekeeping duties as necessary and assists in maintenance of all supplies.
Basic
Qualifications:
Must have at least 1 recent year of hospital experience
Surgical technologist license/certification preferred. American Heart Association BLS required.
Shifts:
- AM, PM, NOC
- Eight (8) hours

Responsibilities include:
o Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions.
o Assists team members to place and position patient on table.
o Scrubs arms and hands and dons gown and gloves.
o Aids team to don gowns and gloves.
o Maintains supply of fluids, such as plasma, saline, blood, and glucose for use during operation.
Qualifications include:
o High School diploma or its equivalent.
o Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist training program with subsequent certification in surgical technology.
o (Tissue Processing Technologist - only) Prefer a degree in biology related field which includes a degree /certification as a Surgical Technologist.
o Current CPR card.
o Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
o Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
