Benedictine University, a private, independent, Catholic institution located in Lisle, IL, invites nominations and applications for the position of President. Founded in 1887 by the Benedictine monks, the institution became a university in 1996. The University, guided by the Roman Catholic and Benedictine tradition that fosters a dialogue between religious and secular cultures, fulfills its commitment to the liberal arts, teacher education and professional programs through excellence in teaching and interaction between students and faculty members.

In addition to its 108-acre Lisle campus, Benedictine has branch campuses in Springfield (IL) and Mesa (AZ), class sites throughout Illinois, and programs in China and Vietnam. With 55 undergraduate majors, 15 graduate programs and 4 doctoral programs, the University serves the needs of more than 10,000 students around the world. The new President will report to the Board of Trustees and shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the University. The ideal candidate must be Catholic; have an earned doctorate or other academic credentials appropriate for a university president; extensive senior administrative and leadership experience preferably in higher education; comprehensive understanding of current issues and opportunities in national and international education; demonstrated success in fundraising activities; and the skills necessary for building important relationships for growth of the University. The new President will have impeccable integrity, and a commitment to the mission, vision and values of the University.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
